TJ Jaguars Youth Baseball uses the PowerYourLeague platform to manage youth sports league operations. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal information of parents, guardians, and their children who participate in our programs.
2. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Our platform is designed for youth sports leagues serving children under 13 years of age. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and take the following measures:
- We require verifiable parental consent before collecting any child's personal information
- We collect only the minimum information necessary for league operations
- We never use children's data for behavioral advertising or targeted marketing
- Parents can review, update, or request deletion of their child's data at any time
- We do not share children's personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
3. Information We Collect
Player Information
- Name and date of birth (required for age-based division placement)
- Jersey size (for uniform ordering)
- Medical notes and allergies (optional, for player safety)
Parent/Guardian Information
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Home address (if provided)
- Emergency contact information
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment card details on our servers. We retain only transaction IDs and payment confirmation status.
4. How We Use Information
- Register players for seasons and assign them to age-appropriate divisions
- Communicate with parents about schedules, games, and league updates
- Process registration payments
- Ensure player safety (emergency contacts, medical information)
- Generate team rosters and standings
We do not use any collected information for behavioral advertising, data profiling, or sale to third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process personal data:
- Supabase — Secure database hosting (data storage)
- Stripe — Payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
- Resend — Transactional email delivery (confirmation emails)
- Vercel — Website hosting
Each service processes data under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
6. Data Retention
Player and registration data is retained for the duration of active participation plus 18 months after the last season of registration. After this period, personal data is automatically deleted or anonymized. Parents may request earlier deletion at any time.
7. Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians have the right to:
- View all personal information collected about their child
- Update or correct any information
- Request deletion of their child's data
- Withdraw consent for data collection
- Receive a copy of their child's data

8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. All data is stored in secure, SOC 2 compliant infrastructure.
